Do you know that Taxol — and possibly other, undiscovered medicines — originate in nature? How do you think that the importance of saving natural world in the hopes of discovering pharmaceutical molecules?
After read this article, I am interested in cancer and its drugs and I was surprised at the fact the cancer drug Taxol was first found in the bark of the Pacific Yew tree decades ago. So I think the rainforest is a mountain of treasures.
This is why, we must save and continue prospecting in natural world in the hopes of discovering pharmaceutical molecules in order to cure many people of cancer.
